Five ways to spot an urban cougar

If you’ve had enough with girls your age – always wanting to get serious after a few dates and always expecting you to call them even when you’re hanging out with your friends - then maybe you should try a cougar. As you probably already know by now, a cougar is an older woman who prefers dating younger men…sometimes much younger men.

She may be interested in dating you seriously, but more often than not will be happy with just a casual fling. Chances are she won’t care if you don’t pick up the phone after a night of passion – she has new ‘prey’ to move onto.

Ok, this is a generalization and plenty of cougars are looking for love, but your chances of a no strings encounter are pretty good if you are lucky enough to encounter a genuine urban cougar.

Here are the top five ways to do just a little cougar spotting when you are out on the town.

1) No Wedding Ring – This is probably one of the first things a man looks for when meeting a sexy woman, but if you are a younger guy than you may not know this yet. So take note, check out her hand for the absence of a wedding band. On an older woman this could be a key sign that you have a chance. Remember it’s the left hand and the ring finger (next to the little finger) that you need to look at – other rings are OK.

2) Generous Amount of Makeup – To the Cougars reading this please don’t be offended…it’s a fact of life that older ladies often choose a little more cover up to keep them looking youthful, but as long as they look good – and many of them look fantastic - then who cares, right? So remember, if the woman glancing at you from across the bar seems to be a little heavy on the foundation then she could well be an urban cougar assessing her plan of attack.

3) Great Body – As part of their cougar lifestyle, many mature women will keep up with the 20-something female competition by staying in prime shape. This may mean frequent trips to the gym and perhaps even a brief affair with her 25 year old personal trainer. It’s all worth it in the end because her body will be smokin’ hot. Look for evidence of a boob job too – if she’s packing a huge rack on a petite frame there’s a fair chance she has had a little enhancement work in that region.

3) Smooth Features – If they seem to have a unusually smooth or tight face for a woman in their 40s or 50s, it could be a sign of a little dab of Botox here or there, a face lift or other plastic surgery. Many older women who are in search of much younger men are also trying to keep their youth and will do whatever they can to do so – including going under the knife. You can’t blame them though, they just want to compete for your attention, so appreciate the trouble and expense that they have gone to, and enjoy the results.

5) Sexy Clothing – Many cougars feel like they need to show off their assets to land a fit younger man. This means they may dress provocatively to grab your attention. So if the thought of a woman your mother’s age in a tight dress with plunging neckline turns you on – then you are definitely in luck. Cougars don’t mind baring a little natural skin to keep your appetite hungry for more.

Hip, stylish, successful women with no kids, no pressures (except their cool careers and world travel) are popping up everywhere. These are great tips for me...to know what might attract a man to me...and I will surely be on the lookout to avoid doing the ones I can...like no makeup, no sexy clothes, no hanging out in bars looking like a loser...who is just trying to get laid! Harh! Men are trying to get laid. If women are doing it, they are crazy. No woman in her right mind would care about "getting laid". In fact, no woman in her right mind even thinks about sex unless some man is hassling her about it...and then, it's like, Eeeewww!!!
